Today wasn't a very good day for me. On Gilmore Girls, one episode talks about Luke's "dark day"; this is it for me. It's...complicated, and I'm not going into it, but I was very thankful to have the day off so I could spend six hours watching Little House, including the two-episode Sylvia story line. These past few months have been rough in several ways, and back in March, during that first week I was off work and sick, about all I could do was watch TV while doing simple, gentle things. Last weekend, with protests and riots and looting and fires, I couldn't handle the outside world ( and again turned to TV to get away from things. )

Five years ago, the Chicago Tribune had a contest; they wanted readers to submit lyrics to a St. Patrick's Day song.
